MV BAVARIA Liveaboard
The MV Bavaria liveaboard offers fantastic dive trips in the Andaman Sea, Thailand. The yacht can accommodate 24 guests in 12 cabins, each with individually controlled AC. The 8 comfort and 2 deluxe cabins come with a private ensuite bathroom and the 2 standard cabins share a bathroom. Social areas include an indoor salon with an entertainment system, an outdoor lounge and dining area plus a sun-deck with loungers and a shaded area.
MV Bavaria runs 3, 4, or 6-night itineraries to some of the best liveaboard dive sites in Thailand and Myanmar departures run from October - May each year. Explore the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock & Surin. Dive facilities include a spacious dive platform and equipment area and nitrox is available for an additional cost for those certified. Dive group sizes are kept small at a maximum of 4-6 per dive guide. The experienced and professional crew of the MV Bavaria liveaboard have been exploring the region for 15 years.

Trip A: Similan Islands

Dive Experience:
Some dive sites are great for exploring at depths of 18-30 meters. If you're not certified to dive to 30 meters, you will be limited to diving within the 18-meter range. Onboard courses are available for an extra fee, please make bookings for these courses.
Day 1 (departure day)
The Meeting point for check-in is at the latest at 16:00 at the Loma Diving Adventure Dive Center in Khao Lak set up the equipment, and complete the formalities. At 18:00, transfer by minibus to the port of Thap Lamu. Check-in at the ship, boat briefing, and dinner. Departure time is around 20:30.
Day 2 (4 dives/Similan)
On the first day of our safari, we start with a check dive on island # 4. On this day, we will make further dives at island # 7. There is also the possibility of beach gear.
Day 3 (4 dives/Similan)
On the second day of our safari, we dive into the best spots of the Similan Islands, such as Elephant Rock and the dive sites of island # 8. Here, with a bit of luck, there is a chance to meet sharks or rays. Furthermore, we offer a descent to island # 8 with its white beaches and crystal clear water.
Day 4 (2 dives/Similan Day of arrival)

On the third day, we do 2 more dives on island # 9, the northernmost island of the Similan Islands. Then, we will change to a day-trip boat and drive back to the port in Thap Lamu, where we will arrive at 16.30.
The last dive of the trip will be on the final day. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.

Trip B: Similan-Koh Bon-Tachai-Surin-Richelieu Rock

Day 0 (day before the safari)
Check-in at the office of Loma Diving Adventure at the latest until 18:00, compilation of equipment, payment of the national park fees, and extras such as Nitrox (certification required), 15l-tank, rental equipment, etc. cash in THB.
Day 1 (3 dives/Koh Bon)
3 dives / Ko Bon - Pick-up from the hotel in Khao Lak at approximately 07:15 and transfer to the pier. Then we go with a daytrip boat to Similan Island # 8, where we change to MV Bavaria. After a short briefing we will go straight to a check dive on Island # 9, the northernmost island of the Similan Islands. Then continue to Ko Bon, one of the most famous dive sites for mantas. Manta rays can be found all around the rock and on Ko Bon Pinnacle. The best time is from mid-December to April. There we do the remaining two dives.
Day 2 (4 dives/Koh Tachai and Surin Island)
On the second day of our safari, we will do 2 dives on Koh Tachai. The place is known for turtles and leopard sharks. But also mantas and, with a bit of luck, a whale shark can be found again and again at the pinnacle around Koh Tachai. Then, we drive to the Surin Islands, where we will do the remaining two dives of the day. Turtles, big parrot fish, reef sharks, Napoleon, and many other small reef inhabitants can be found here.
Day 3 (4 dives at Koh Tachai )
On the third day of our safari, we will do four dives at Koh Tachai. The place is known for turtles and leopard sharks. Sometimes, with a little bit of luck, you can spot manta rays and whale sharks around Koh Tachai Pinnacle.
Day 4 (2 dives/Koh Tachai and Koh Bon Day of arrival)
2 dives / Ko Tachai and Kh Bon - we do the first dive on Ko Tachai and then we drive to Koh Bon for the last dive, before we start the return trip to the port in Tablamu between 14:30 and 15:30 arrive.

Day 6 (4 dives/Surin Island and Richelieu Rock)
Early in the morning, we experience the wild nature of the Surin Islands and the smaller islands. We start the day with a dive on the Surin Islands and then drive to Richelieu Rock, one of the most famous dive sites in Thailand. Here, you can find almost everything at any time, from seahorses and ghost pipefish to swarms of barracuda, perch, wrasse, tuna, and squid. Also, big fish like mantas and whale sharks are spotted here regularly. We will do 3 dives here before returning to Thap Lamu via Koh Tachai and Koh Bon.
Day 7 (2 dives/Koh Tachai and Koh Bon Day of arrival)

The first dive is on Kho Tachai and then we drive to Koh Bon for the last dive, before we start the return to the port in Thap Lamu and arrive there between 14:30 and 15:30.

DETAIL
The MV Bavaria is a steel ship 28 meters long and 6.5 meters wide. Designed and planned by Markus Egginger, owner of Loma Diving Adventure. Based on its 15 years of experience, the ship was designed by divers for divers. It has all the amenities that a safari boat must have.
6-day tours take you to the most beautiful and famous dive sites in Thailand (Similan Islands, Ko Bon, Ko Tachai, Richelieu Rock and Surin Islands), 7-day trips to Myanmar to the largely unknown Mergui archipelago. Everything at a unique price / performance ratio. The group size is 4-6 divers per dive guide.
The MV Bavaria was built in 2016 in Thailand according to the latest marine and safety standards. All guests are accommodated in comfortable cabins with air conditioning. The ship has 2 standard cabins on the upper deck, 6 Comfort twin cabins with private bath / WC on the main deck, 2 Comfort cabins with double bed and private bath / WC in the lower deck (these are also offered as a single room) and 2 Deluxe cabins large double bed and private bath / WC on the main deck. The maximum number of guests is 24. All cabins are kept clean and tidy during your stay on board by our crew. Friendly staff and excellent food make for a pleasant stay during the safari.
